A new mod idea.

Hey folks,
I have gone back to SHIII for a while and while started a new campaign I realized what would definitely improve immersion in the game. While I am on patrol I am completely missing any connection with the war development (the only indicator of the war progress are cities changing colors from Allied to Axis etc.)
Well here is my idea (I don't know if this has been done or thought of but search didn't show anything):
I think it would be good to receive daily/weekly summary from BdU on the war's progress. Something like this:
12:01 Radio Message
From: BdU
To: U-99

07/02/1941
The Armed Forces High Command has issued the following announcement:
The RAF carries out night raids on Bremen and Cologne. Advanced units of Panzer Group 4 force their way through the Stalin line near Ostrov on the Latvian border. Troops of the German 11th, Romanian 3rd and 4th Armies begin an offensive from Moldavia toward Vinnitsa and the Black Sea port of Odessa.

12:01 Radio Message
From: BdU
To: U-99

07/03/1941
The Armed Forces High Command has issued the following announcement:
Army Group Centre eradicates the Bialystok pocket capturing 290,000 prisoners, 2,500 tanks, 1,500 guns in the process.

.
.
.
etc.

I have a few questions, though:
-which format are the Radio Messages stored in? Is it easily editable?
-what triggers the message (time, day, etc)?
-can someone point me to the files?
-should be there a certain "time of the day" to receive such a summary report (say, noon)?
-what happens to the "undeliverable" messages (for example being depth charged for 48 hours, etc)? Do they get delivered after you surface/raise to periscope depth?

I am just tossing ideas around... If this is doable I am willing to spend some time to create similar report for each day/week of the war.

Let me know your thoughts about this...
Thanks!

Yes there simple text files that can easily be edited. It dosen't matter if your on the surface or peroscope. You still receive the messages.
