Been Lurking Awhile and finally spoke up

Morning all:

I want to share with you all the fact that I have been playing this game for a year, and love it. I have been reading this forum for months, and finally felt compelled to share.

Long story short, my boss has a brother who works for Ubisoft and was bragging about a new game coming out. My Boss, Mark had no idea what it was since he isnt a gamer, but had his brother forward a copy of the new game since he knew I was a gamer, So it arrives and out of all possible games its SHIV. My boss knowing I'm so excited to play it, he now is holding it ransom to get me to do a few more sales presentations, then he'll let me PLAY it. If I hit a certian target, He'll GIVE it to me.

My thinking is forget you, I'll just reload SH3, then with all the mods like GWX and all the others, SH3 now looks even better then SHIV, so thank you. I recently got married and am trying to slowly get back to play so as not to get divorced!

I want to thank you for making this game such an amazing experience now.

I have a few questions, I know how to install the mods, have GWX, and a few of the others, but believe it or not, the biggest problem I have is locating where to download all your amazing work. Any help would be appreciated.

I wish there was a way to say thank you properly.

Where I work, I can spend quite a bit of time on the forums reading and learning. I get so excited downloading the mods here, then save them on a flash drive, go home and install them, I am still amassing the mods, so I havent even had a chance to take start the game over. DOnt want to start only to find out once I do, I cant continue to mod the game.

On a side note, I was very active with a game called Janes WWII fighters a few years back, and like you all, they had a strong online community, and modded the game so much that Janes approached them and ask permission to take the mods and market them as an add on. It was fun.

You all are amazing, and love all your work.

Hopefully I can play enough to truly appreciate what you all have accomplished.

Just have to figure out away to either play or be married!

The next time you have one of those quite moments with your wife; kind of stretch and yawn and say: "think I'll run down to the bar and have a beer", then look at your watch a couple of seconds, frown a little, and say: "nah.... I'll just stay here and play on the comp awhile instead". The trick is to make being on the computer look like a more "favorable" activity. Then in a couple months or so, if she says something about being on the computer; look at your watch, frown a little and say " Ah ..... your right babe, I'm sorry ...... I'll just go grab a beer for a bit instead"!

I can't use the beer thing, she knows better, I'll just tell her I need time to reflect on how much she means to me, how much I adore her, and the best way for me to do this is..................

Blowing as many tons out of the water as I can!

It might work!

Still trying to find the balance (a.k.a. to play the game once a month!) after a year and a half married. Still prefer my wife over the game though!:D

BTW Welcome aboard!
