how to download sub skins
 

Hey yall Im new to this forum and use silent hunter 4 daily and was wondering where i can find subskins and how to load them into the game any help would be very grateful

You can get sub skins from a fiew diffrent places but here is one. http://battleflags.net/
Install them With JSGME genric mod inabler.

Im sorry i dont wanna sound dumb but i downloaded the mod enabler and cant figure out how to activate skins

As for JSGME, have you installed it as the readme instructs? What part of it are you having problems with? And are you running Vista (if so, did you install the game in the "Program Files" directory)?

yeah running vista i downloaded it to my documents but when I open the mod editor i dont know how to put one of my downloads in there i downloaded a couple from fooskin or whatever its called

If running XP you extract JSGME to yout Main SH4 Folder, then run it once to create the Mods folder and you are good to go. You then go back into JSGME, you should see the mods you put in the Mods Folder there. It is now just a matter or activating them.

so everytime i download a mod do I save it to my silent hunter 4 folder?

Basically when the SH4 Root folder has a folder called "MODS" in there (created when you run JSGME for the first time), than any mod that you download (which is JSGME ready) is extracted into that MODS folder. You then run JSGME and it will show the mod you extracted. All you then do is highlight that mod in JSGME (on the left side) and press the right arrow to enable that mod.

thanks that does help I cut and pasted the files i wanted into the mods folder i opened up the mod editor but it still doesnt show anything It asdks what i want to open it with then goes into the notebook and gives all this encryption or whatever er it is
