Can't reinstall GWX 2.0

Earlier this year I installed GWX 2.0 but after several months I got tired of the long load time, disinstalled it and resumed playing SH3 1.4 with SH3 Commander. Wanting to go back to GWX, I downloaded from Subsim (GWX-1208) on 7/31/08 but can't get it to run past the red loading line. I've waited 20 minutes several times but no load. After download I did get an error message saying "debug test 2 failed. Version is 1.0.0.1.
My system: Compaq Presidio
XP Professional version 2002 Service Pack 2
Pentium(R) 4 3GHZ
1.00 GB Ram
Nividia GeForce 6200
Followed installation instructions religiously :know:
Would be grateful for any advice. Thanx:-?

ANSWER

:D Hi there dumbopilot!
I saw that you have the version 1.1
That doesn't work, you must first download the patch "1.v4b"
Then you can use the GWX 2.0 & GWX 2.1 .
Hope that help , and good luck:up:

The best solution is:
  1. Completely uninstall SH3 using the "Uninstall" option from the game Dvd
  2. Manually delete any remaining SH3 folder and contents from Program Files\Ubisoft
  3. Manually delete the SH3 folder and contents from your "My Documents" folder.
  4. Run a good Registry Cleaner.
  5. Reboot
  6. Re-install SH3 from the disc - Check version 1.1 plays
  7. Patch to Version 1.4b - Check it Plays
  8. Install GWX2 - Check it plays
  9. Install GWX 2.1 Check it plays.
  10. Install SH3 Commander ( if required )
  11. Install any required mods using JSGME ( It;s installed automatically with GWX2)
  12. Enjoy.
