Fastest Speeding ticket ever issued...
242 MPH (390 KMH!) in Texas! Wow! Watching Top Gear last night and was looking to confirm it:
The fastest speeding ticket in the world allegedly occurred in May 2003 in Texas. It was supposedly 242mph in a 75mph zone. The car was a Swedish-built Koenigsegg, which was involved in the San Francisco to Miami Gumball 3000 Rally. -S |
...and they are probably still paying that ticket off.:dead:

Hey S,
your links point me straight back to subsim home |
I've got a question: How the heck did the police car catch up?! :o
|
my guess would be a roadblock that was called up later on down the road...
|
Leave it to Texas! We have the mostest of everything! :rotfl:

Until you can drive faster than a radio signal, you can't out run cops. :know: |

In North Texas police are not allowed to pursue motrocycles that flee because a) they cannot catch sport bikes and b) many motorcyclists have been killed evading police when they impact a stubborn object. I, personally, have flipped the bird to a patrol car as I blew past him at 163 mph. All he did was flash his lights. |
I think that car also holds the record for the fastest car on the road.
I think top gear stated that running at top speed will empty the tank in 15 min. The newest model has 1018 bhp  |
