Navigation!!

How do you navigate your boat? I never use the 'plot course' line running from the boat except when I have a contact and am working out the place to be !! I normally use the ruler, drawing a line along the direction I want to be travelling in, note the compass reading and turn the boat via the compass
It feels much more like 'real' navigating??

I use course plotting. I have a perfectly good Navigator:D I tell him where I want to go and he makes it so:sunny:

:yep: true my navigator plans my transits, maneuvers to intercept,
and sometimes though not always final orientation in an attack.

but if it goes south then I have the helm in my hand.
I tend to stay at peridepth if it turns ugly.:arrgh!:
