what dds type does SH4 accept?
http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/2615/textureyi6.jpgI
http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/4809/simpleskinvq1.jpg 've been trying to get a new texture on my Jyunsen B, the plain one I posted earlier and that is available for doiwnload works fine. When I edit it and save it to dds 5 from photoshop cs, it doesn't work, the ship's all black :damn: |
when just renaming an existing texture, it works in game, although not all the parts are at the right place, so the problem is the DDS TYPE I use...

DXT5_NM XY 8 bpp | using DXT5
DXT5_NM XY 8 bpp | using DXT5
is the option that finally worked ! I drew a few white lines on the texture shown above, saved it using dxt5NM and voilą : http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/2747/dds5nmaj9.jpg http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/2...cec9a8d3de.jpg so now I can work on a real new camo skin for the Jyunsen B :D:D:D |
Not sure what the game won't accept, but I know it will accept DXT1 and DXT3. For skins, I usually save as a DXT1 with no alpha.

only one that worked here was dwt 5nm...

Try this program for DDS stuff and things. It's nice and easy.

thanks a lot :)
@Anvart : thanks a picture is worth a 1000 words ;) will work on the textures asap but at the end of week I'm off to France for a week of holidays  :sunny::sunny::sunny: |
While working with an open source 3D engine in the past I had some problems with the Nvidia DDS plugin, now I use the DDS plugin which comes with the DirectX SDK and all saved formats work fine.

With used version i have no problems ... P.S. But if Seeadler will make accessible DirectX SDK DDS plug-in... it will be not bad ... |
