I Have To Be There When????
 

My orders say to be on lifeguard duty NLT December 5. Now that is some long term planning to say the least. It is only July 25. I have to cruise around for 4 1/2 months before I can go and complete this objective?

I have searched and read all there is to read on completing lifeguard missions and I've done 2 myself before ...but I've never heard of such a long span of time before the mission. I've read that showing up triggers the battle but my experience has been that that isn't enough. I have had to wait for the proper time peroid to occur too.

So what do I do in the mean time? Cruise around Rabual sinking traffic and refititng in Brisbane when I run out of torpedoes? With the extra heavy Rabual area traffic that could mean 2-4 refits without ending a patrol. Plus I will lose out on the renown points for the objectives I won't be able to complete because I'm waiting on this one to come to term. :shifty:

As usual...Time answers all. I simply refused to play their game. I returned to port when out of torpedoes and was issued a brand new fleet sub...:nope: :yep: ...and new orders to play lifeguard...in 8 daysthis time ....:lol: ...thats more like it.

Snooty desk jockeys...with never a day's worth of blue water duty....telling me go here do this...go there do that...

They sound a lot like trucking dispatchers:rotfl:
