There is some slight wear to the high portions of the paint and on the back and on the flat pin. It measures 37mm (1-1/2 inches) in diameter. It measures 46mm across, and 50mm top to the bottom. The back is shown here. The condition is near excellent an intact throughout. There is a 5th Grade ribbon suspension present. Imperial Japanese 3-3/4 inch diameter profusely marked compass. This is a very well-made lacquered wood hand lettered compass with a suspended needle used to indicate north. The compass is completely functional. It measures approximately 3/4 inches thick, with the central compass portion measuring 7/8 inches in diameter.
