New 52 inch LCD TV???

I just purchased a 52 inch LCD TV. I looked on the back and there is a computer monitor type hook up...well...hooked up the computer and everything works great...pretty good improvement from my 15 inch monitor. My question is whether using my new tv as a monitor for my computer and as a TV will hurt the new TV or my Graphics card? I mean it looks freaking awesome right now;) ...but will go back to using a monitor if it will harm my screen....know what I mean?!?

sounds like an "S-Video" hookup... as far as i am aware thats what it is intended for so no harm should be done.

enjoy it.

as for right now im going to go have a look at my 55" TV and check for something similar. :hmm:

I already hate John Hamm; now I hate you too!
:rotfl:

No, once again I pretend envy when it's not really there. My 19" monitor is two feet in front of my face, and once I start playing it might as well be twenty feet wide - I don't even notice anymore.

As to your question, GoldenRivet is right: if it says "Computer Monitor", then that's why it's there.:sunny:

I just got SH3 running on a 42" 1080p HDTV I bought to use as a monitor. I believe "gobsmacked" is the correct term

Bigger would be even better, but even 42" is pushing it for monitor use at normal desktop viewing distance (about 3 feet from my eyes to the screen). Beyond that and IMO you don't have enough pixels/inch for clear text. I'll have to wait until 1600p TVs are available :p
