Multiple Careers ?

Hi all :D

I was curious how many of you are running multiple careers ?

I'm running five.

1939 (Had to go thru those kool locks)
to
1945 and have a XXI boat with all the bells and whistles :D

And of course use SHC. Any of you doing the same ?

STEED 07-07-08 11:32 AM

I started out with 20 from 1939 I'm now in 1941 and now down to 17.

Aye, well when the Q Ship mod is released, it won't matter much which year you surface in....I hope

Cheeky sod. :stare:

Make that 16, I lost one when I was in the thick of a convoy in crap weather on the surface when a bloody small merchant went out his way to ram me, b******d.

I only do one career at a time. Helps with the immersion factor for me. I also play DiD with the only exceptions being computer hang-ups and TC deaths.

KeptinCranky 07-07-08 05:09 PM

I play DiD mostly, but I have at least one career for a VII a IX and a II simultaneously, and mostly different ones for different years too, it does vary though

currently I have 3 Kaleuns dead or surrendered 2 active and 1 for testing in my SH3 commander

Only three: one out of each flotilla, all in 1939. When there are more flotillas available I'll have more side-by-side careers. When I get to December 1941 I'll be adding more, one from each available subron.

I like to keep things in order.

sharkbit 07-08-08 07:31 AM

How do you guys play 'em all?

Do you just rotate through-do 1 one day, the other the next and so on or play 'em as the mood strikes you?
:)

SmokinTep 07-08-08 07:33 AM

I am doing 2, one by the book, the other a maverick who does not obey orders and goes after ships in port.

I do a complete patrol in one career, then record the beginning and end dates in a separate log. The next one up is whichever is oldest, so they always stay current.

Jimbuna 07-08-08 11:02 AM

I wonder if anyone plays solely in the Alternate Flotillas mod ? :hmm:

STEED 07-08-08 11:37 AM

Down to 15 now. :ping:

Went out in a blaze of glory and blood lust electric engines smashed blew tanks and rammed the Town class Destroyer. Both of us were banged up so hopefully I took him out as well. ;)

@jim

Not yet but I am going to give it ago soon. :yep:
