New pc and 22"widescreen

I bought me a new pc and then I thought I could get me a nice new screen also. So I bought me a 22"widescreen. All is well only the view is distorted. I installed the hi res fix. only I must have done somthin wrong or I don't understand it. The view is still distorted. Is there a way to fix it.

2nd after making I did the hires fix I found my F9,F10 & f11 key stopped working ingame, has any1 else have had this problem?

By distorted, presume you mean a bit stretched? AFAIK, there's no avoiding it, unless you run the game windowed which obviously ain't running it widescreen. However, I find I don't notice it anymore.

Yes, it does disable the F keys you mention, that's normal AFAIK. For screenshots btw, try Ctrl+PrtScrn.

Look for LCD Scaling options in your video card's control panel. Depending on your monitor and video card it may allow you to display in 4:3 letterbox mode.

Currently playing on a 22" widescreen with no problems. Cannot remember which resolution im on - I actually need to look at upping it a little as well. But as far as your aspec ratio goes try 16:10 for the 22" widescreen
