SH4 1.4 mod installation order?

Hello,

I bought Silent Hunter 4 yesterday. Yeah a bit late BUT my excuse is I liked SH3 a LOT with these community created mods so don't spank me please.

The game is on DVD and according to the readme file in the DVD it's already patched to version 1.3. So I downloaded the 1.4 update and updated the game to version 1.4.

Now my question is in what order should I enable these mods I downloaded. I did read several threads but it got a bit confusing because of the SH4 1.5 U-Boat addon stuff since I don't have it and there are so many different files for each 1.4 and 1.5.

I wanted to install Natural Sinking Mechanics_40, REL_TriggerMaru_Overhaul, ROW_Pacific_enviroments_3 and RSRDC_TMOv14_V370. Now these are the names of the files I downloaded. Then I have JSGME_setup from Jonesoft's homepage.

Are all of the above ones the correct ones that will work with SH4 1.4 ? And are those the most updated ones as well ?

And is the correct installation order TriggerMaru, RSRDC, ROW Pacific Enviroments and then Natural Sinking Mechanics?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Whoopsie I accidentally downloaded the language pack for the JSGME instead of the actual program.

No!

NSM
PE 3.3 +patch
RSRD
TMO

I'm not sure if NSM will run with TMO. but a look at the readme's on the mods page will tell you all you need to know

steinbeck...:hmm:

If you run RFB you will have to go further and purchase the 1.5 uboat missions. I believe TMO is also created now to only run with the 1.5 uboat missions.

.

Yes it is. I'm not 100% certain where ROW/PE goes in that installation(check what the readme says), but you definitely have the others in the correct order. The SH4 version they are made for is stated in the mods' readmes. Ignore steinbeck's order, it's reversed.

After carefully reading all the FAQs (Yes even the one no one ever reads :) ) and readme's I concluded my quest to get the mods in working order by enabling them in the order of TMO - RSRDC - PE - NSM and it works. Atleast no anomalies or crashes so far.

And I have to say... This game is BEAUTIFUL! I thought SH3 was good looking but this one, sheesh. She's a true beaut! But no gramophone. :(

Although they've made "shooting from the hip" a bit hard.
I know I shouldn't do that but when there's 3 destroyers hunting for you I liked it when in SH3 I could estimate all the variables and fire the fish and hit the chasers fast and survive (well sometimes).

Time to go pirating Tokyo again. :arrgh!:
Err... I mean conduct anti-shipping duty. ;)

There is a button for the gramophone (and radio) on the last tab in the HUD.
