Firefox 3 loading and closing slowly

I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I don't really mind the longer loading, I can deal with that. The thing that gets me is the long unloading from memory after I close it (if I let it set a while it will eventually close). This gets especially tiring if I want to install a new skin or add-on. When I click Restart Firefox, it closes but never really re-opens. I have to bring up the Task Manager and manually shut down Firefox. This never really happened with FF2. It happened every once in a great while, but not every single time like FF3. I even uninstalled FF3, rebooted, deleted the Firefox files in Program Files and Application Data. It still does it. In the mean time I downloaded the latest Opera browser and am using that for now. I really like FF3, too. I just hate the long closing times. I almost forgot. While I am waiting for Firefox to unload from memory, other things slow down until it does. If I open a folder I have to wait until it eventually closes or I manually close it. :damn: :damn: :damn:

Mine loads and closes instantly, even with other programs using a lot of CPU and memory...

The browser looks like it closes but is still running in memory when I open Task Manager. Try closing FF3 and then try reopening it immediately. It always tells me that it is already running and that I need to close it.

Used to have this problem all the time with FF2, can't remember what it was. Sorry :)
