Flottenbegleiter

When you return to port, will a flottenbegleiter automatically come out of port and escort you through the minefields, and back to port?
I've seen it escorting you out, but I was told it would escort you back in aswell.

If so, will it 'detect' you within a certain radius of the port, and then come and get you? Or will it just sail forth and back?

No, unfortunately that is not possible in sh3. the developers wanted to include this featre but due to no time it had been left out.
in most supermods you will have escorts out of port, but that´s all for now!

In GWX, the flottenbegleiter just goes in a pre-set path.
Meaning it just like a security guard going up and down a hallway... for all eternity!

Aye
Eventually he will get back to the point he left you when leaving
So if you hang around a little while ( painting and putting up your tonnage pennants ) he will reappear

Tis one of the things planned but never finished as Hans rightly said
Along with wolfpacks and AI torpedos :damn:

And its either a Minesweeper\Raumboot or Sperrbrecher in GWX
We removed the Flottenbegleiter in 2.0 as they were a complete failure in RL and spent most of the war broke down
