Scientists found bugs that eat waste and excrete OIL!

Sorry as the news is a bit old. Anyway, it is not a frictional plot, but something real - scientists successfully employed genetically modified baterias to eat up agricultural waste while harvesting oil. Will this have an impact on the soaring oil price?

I don't know if it will affect the price of fossil fuels but it does have the potential to eventually free us from fossil fuel use, with the considerable side benefit of reducing or eliminating the pollution caused by agricultural waste runoff into rivers and streams.

I saw this on the news the other day. It does sound promising. :D

I knew that we knew about bacteria that ate oil spills, but this is the first time I heard about a beastie poopin oil. :up:
