Shellbacks?
How many of you are Shellbacks?
I crossed in 1990.... |
Never did. Went from Long Beach to Subic, played around the Vietnam gunline, came straight back. The ship's last depoyment before being sold was to Australia, and I got out before she went, so I missed out bigtime.

I am a Golden Shellback! Crossed The International Date Line and Equator Line on 25 SEP 76 on USS Long Beach CGN-9, as part of the USS Enterprise CVN-65 Nuclear Strike Group.

Once in 1993
Crossed aboard the USS Lake Champlain (CG-57) on way back from Arabian Gulf (by way of Bali, Indonesia).
