Great New Destroyer Command and Silent Hunter II mods!
Hi skippers!
I think, that the Destroyer Command is the most underestimated game of the naval PC games. There is namely a new link to a new DC mod, which will show you, that this game can be developed to new levels. This mod is in a french website: Mille-Sabords.com. There is in the same site also a great Silent Hunter II mod. Registration is needed, but it is a simple procedure. After installation of the new mod to the DC try to manouver with and in the big battleships. You can use the Koralle -program (in the SUBSIM.com downloads section) to change the settings in the *.sgf -files to sail with BB -ships.There are for instance the battleships Cavour, Cesare, Dulio and Doria, which are really great looking ships and a couple of interesting Italian CA models too. Enjoy |
Wellcome to subsim.com
What mod are you talking about? What does it change in the game? :) |

Yes indeed - hugely underestimated and under developed. From your post number I assume you are new to Destroyer Command and won't be familiar with these mods :- Iron Seas ( WW1 naval ) - DC mod in development and can be found here on Subsim at http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=226 Mare Nostrum - Italian Mediterranean mod for DC ( complete mod) Alpha Tau - Italian Mediterranean mod for SH2 (complete mod) SeaLords - British capital ship mod for DC ( partial mod) Kriegsmarine - German large surface ships mod for DC. (partial mod) If you're interested I'll fish out the links for you. I've not downloaded the DC mod from Mille-Sabords but it sounds like it's incorporated assets from Mare Nostrum and maybe others. Mare Nostrum was released when DC was virtually finished on these forums (as a "front line" game) so it never received the attention it should have got. Kriegsmarine was released even later and to be fair wasn't complete. If you're playing the Mille-Sabord Mod I'd be interested to hear from you on what it offers ..... :D |
Welcome to SUBSIM Splash50 :yep::up:

I wish I could find my DC disk. I'd love to try out all these surface mods.

These were the last links for two of the mods . I don’t know if they are still live
Mare Nostrum http://www.gammasom.it/cesanesedelpiglio/Marenostrum.exe Alpha Tau (Regia Marina) http://canarb.altervista.org/map.htm I’ve just put SeaLords and Kriegsmarine up on filefront but for some reason they haven’t appeared in the directory. http://hosted.filefront.com/SH2DCMods |
Thank you, i am most interested in the Kriegsmarine Mod.
EDIT: There is only the SH2 mod still active. I'm really hoping to get Kriegsmarine. |
And once again here is a link to the SH2 and DC mods I've collected:
http://files.filefront.com/SHII7z/;1.../fileinfo.html http://files.filefront.com/DC7z/;132.../fileinfo.html I hope to have them up on BtS soon. They won't be individually listed there, but, like here, will be offered as a collection. |
Thanks, Steve. :salute:
I got them both. |
Thanks Steve.
Edit: wow i didnt know anyone else had a name close to mine |

Destroyer Command - Kriegsmarine Mod
Over the weekend I did some Google Search for Kriegsmarine Mod for Destroyer Command.
Below is the link to that website. Hope it works. It is written in Spanish but can be translated to English. KM-index - [ Translate this page ] click on ship icon of each mod. scroll down to bottom of page for install link to go to next page for instructions. I have the mods downloaded and running on Destroyer command. Great to command the Bismarck, Graf Spee, Scharnhorst. I also have the Italian mod MARE NOSTRUM on Destroyer Command. Destroyer Command has a lot going with all these new mods. |
Excellent.
I'd forgotten about Beltza's site. I was surprised that link was still there. |
