Depending on the design of the gun, it can cause a jam. Probably not something you want in the middle of a gun fight

Actually, some people went through a test to see how well they could shoot sideways. End result, if some gansta holds a weapon sideways on ya, you might as well run, maybe even walk away since they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door if they wanted to! :p :D
