Home network help......

Hello" I have a home network with two computers on it, one is a master account and one is a sub (no pun intended) What i want to do is buy a new computer to take the place of the one i have now as the master account, And replace the sub account one with the one that is the master now,....."Are you following me",.. How do i do that?

Do i uninstall my isp from the computer that is the master now first? then install my isp on the new computer... then reinstall the isp on the sub whitch was the master??? :rotfl:

Please Help!!!! :hmm:

Thanks in advance.

How about just plugging it in? There is no master/sub.

Mine says (Master and Sub) With my name and password first then the subs name and password listed after that. :hmm:

Ps. The sub account computor only has the subs name and account on it.

Is this from your ISP? It sounds weird. I have 8 devices in this house with internet access. Get a router that can do NAT (Network Address Translation). The router will be the sole IP leased from your ISP, and then plug all your systems into it.

From what you describe, you are leasing more than one IP from your ISP and it is rare that an ISP allows for more than one IP lease.

A cheap router will run you $20 to $30. A good one will run about $150. A $20 router will do fine though unless you want QoS but I doubt you would be ready to tackle that just yet.

Hope it helps. Its an easy way to put a dozen computers on the internet without paying for extra IP's from your ISP.
