[REL] Alt Msg Font v1
 

Alt Msg Font Changes your radio, status etc. msg's to a smaller less obnoixious font then default. Included are two options - styles.
First is a Typewritter style that for the most part matches the news font used when you load a game/save.
Second is a more smoother style, on the arial side. This one is has a cleaner look.

Messages / type for this Mod are in black text.

It is possible to alter the text color but I cannot seem to find the right color in blue to match the background. And so first release is black text.
NOTE: Instructions include how to make a quick edit to your menu_1024_768 file. Because major mods already alter this file I will not pass along an edited version. Not to worry, it's very easy. It's also not absolutly nessesary, but it will ensure all the color (black text) matches.

About the other colors;

I can get Red, Greens, other off & light colors to work. And they actually look decent.
But I wanted to match the blue text off to the left side in the M window. Damn it.
I tried near 3 dozen Frackin color - hex combo's - couldn't make it happen. And so if anybody can find the majic combo, please let me know.

Danurve, if Black is 0=FF, what is Red ? I actually would like a more Burgundy/Maroon color.

It is possible to change the text/font in the screen. Your talking about the scrolling text I think. I find the small white text hard to read at times. I forget what group/section in the menu file it is but I know it can be done. Now are you looking to change the font size/type or just the color?

I just want to change the color, unless I can make the font more "Old Typewriter" looking.
