Where's the Iowa?

I read the GWX manual and it says it has a Iowa class battleship included in the campaign.

The question is, WHERE and WHEN?

I suggest you check out Casablanca, about November 1942 I think, that's when the Iowa took president Roosevelt there for the Casablanca Conference

Wouldn't be something to not only sink the USS Iowa but to know that you have a good chance for taking down Roosevelt with her, what U-boat captain worth his salt wouldn't take that shot :up:

The Iowa wasn't even in commission in Nov '42 - she was still in dock with civilian hands working on her! Doubtful she even had her turrets installed at that time.

The Iowa class spent the vast majority of their time in the Pacific as fast carrier escorts, as per their intended role. You won't see them much in GWX, except when they're working up along America's east coast or the odd foray over the ocean.

It was January 14-24 1943. The USS Iowa took FDR to North Africa for the Tehran Conference in November of 1943.

Right, I'll remember that, I've got November 1942 spooking through my head for ages now...don't know why really...guess I read that somewhere....

Ah well, January of 1943 off Casablanca would be the best bet to catch an Iowa then :D
