malfunctions and sabotage???

lo all

was looking into using commanders malfunction and sabotage feature.

but what does this equate to ingame?......do you have to return to base ingame if a malfunction is serious enough?

how are these reported to you on patrol?? .....via pop up box or what??

how many use it....and is it a good immersion option or an annoying pain mid patrol?

get back herr kaleuns:rock:

There are numerous faults that can develop eg:

Full Ahead on telegraph not responding

Blurred periscope vision

Sloe AA reloading times

To name a few. (IIRC there are about 10 in total)

You usually only find out when you attempt an operation....hence if you use this function it's always best to perform a series of shake down tests once your outside the harbour limits.

As too it's value to the game in terms of immersion or otherwise, that is purely a matter of individual choice.

In some careers I use it, in others I don't. http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...ies/pirate.gif

Gee, and here I always thought it dated from my Vietnam days. We would send out a scout to check on movement in the bushes, and when he got back we would ask him: "Is It Really Charlie?"

Or maybe I don't remember correctly.:rotfl:
