Spambots, this forum, and you
 

We have been getting a lot of human spammers signing up here and then turning the registered account to spambots. We delete them as quickly as we can. If you see a spambot, you can hit the Report Bad Post button to notify Admin of the spammer.

For skippers who routinely help out, we have the Spam Hunter award.

And so everyone knows how to report an bad post, press the http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/smartdark/report.gif-button (might look different on different forum 'skins') on the person's post you'd like to report.

I got one today that makes 3 to to go:yeah:

The Spam Hunter award has been reset for all. We have implemented a new process of admitting new members and I thought it made sense to reset the award. We don't have as much spam getting through now so if a spammer does get in and posted, the award gets issued.
