Game difficulty
 

Hello !

I have some problem with the game difficulty.
In options I can chage whether I want to have limited fuel or not - bot it doesnt work, when it comes to the game start, where I choose game difficulty with the date of start and renown.

I can use limited fuel in options, but when I choose normal game the fuel is unlimited ...
Does anybody knows how to fix it ? Because I want limited fuel and automatic targeting for torps. In normal I have none of them, but in hard I have both - I just want to have limited fuel.
Its like this:

Choosing difficulty in menu with start date and renown

NORMAL: limited fuel OFF
manual targeting OFF

HARD: limited fuel ON
manual targeting ON ( how can I change that to automatic???)

PS. Im using U boat addon with OM and speech fix.

Welcome Silex! You want limited fuel on and manual targeting off. If I'm remembering right (I'm at work and can't check it out right now) you don't have to choose a difficulty setting. Then you can check out your options menu in port to set each item you want to use in your custom difficulty setting. Difficulty settings changes only work in port.

There are two places to choose options, one at the Main Menu and one in the 'office' after you have begun a campaign but prior to sailing. Make sure you have your options selected in both before you start your career.

There are 2 places to look to change the options when in the office between patrols.
For the American side of the game. There is a book on the bookshelf to the left of the desk that will allow you to change the game settings.
For the German side of the game. The file cabinet by the door will give you the options to change the game settings.

Actually it's a radio on the bookshelf for the US side where you can find the menu.:know:

Back when I didn't know how to set difficulty settings in port, that forced me to learn manual targeting!:up::up::up::up:

I thought it would be too difficult. I was wrong. I can't imagine playing the game on auto targeting now.

I will try it as soon as I get home. I use only auto targeting in dangerous situations, when I attack convoy Im using manual.

So you say this is in port menu (where is my desk, cabinets and u boat model on desk?) - Ill try it and tell if its working.

By the way, Im 24 years old and Im a specialist in warship installations ( oil, fuel, compressed air etc. ), I passed officer exams for B+ ( in Poland there is grade 4+) :P My rank is mat ensign ( I think I have translated in good, it the 3rd grade, 1st is sailor, and with officer exams passed ). Ive been serving on ORP Gen. Kazimierz Pułaski ( Oliver Hazard Perry class bougt in USA ) and ORP Metalowiec ( Tarantul class corvette ).

My hobbies are U-Boats, militaries, II WW reenactment and in weekends trips with my metal detector in search of badges, baonets and so ones :)

But there is another thing - in using U-boot addon the deck watch is transparent above horizon :P But I can not only see the horizon through the crew, but also the radar and its rotating ...

If You need, I can do a snapshot - its really annoying ... :(

After you have played stock for a while. I recommend you try Lurker's "Operation Munson" and "Operation Paukenschlag". Lurker has added an Indian Ocean Campaign for U-boats and an Atlantic Campaign. They are very realistic.

JREX, Im now travelling to Penang from Lorient and ive been beat up by avenger :) but im still worried about this transparency, it shows when the light is before crewman and in mist and fog.
