Problem reinstalling SH4 U Boat Missions

Hi to all,

I hope some one can help or at least point me in the right direction, I have just had to reformat my hard drive and now reinstalling everything.

When reinstalling SH4 I patched it correctly but there were a couple of wierd error messages concerning bat2 not recognised. I was given the option to ignore, abort or retry, eventyually I chose ignore. I was patching from the Uboat missions add on CD. I would add that both the SH4 game disck and the addon CD are in perfect condition.

Now I have a new error message
Feature Transfer Error

Component Data
Fiel: D: Data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy)

That's what "cyclic redundancy" means: the disc is damaged. Read this, for more information.

Thanks for your reply

HI and thanks for yor reply, this is odd as when I look at the disk there is no apparent damage ie scratches.

Do you have a suggestion or should I just buy replacements. only thing is I'm not sure if its the orignal game disck or the Uboat missions, is there a way I can tell.
