gwx nights

Is it normal in the new GWX for the summer nights (june) in the arctic to be so bright? It seems that dusk expends through the whole night, without it ever getting dark out. Escots keep driving my surface attacks off in the light ];

I'd say yes, it's normal for that time of year. Remember that the longest day of the year occurs in June (in the Northern Hemisphere) so for several weeks up to & after that point, it never really gets dark. I recently saw a TV program where researchers were trapping bats in Alaska in the summer. They were out doing this at 2-3 am in the morning and it looked like twilight.

Welcome aboard btw...:)

Yup. I have a cottage just above the polar line in Norway and the sun donīt go under the horizon in the summer. Midnight sun. Hard to sleep, but very beautiful.
