I have sh4/sh3 that does the same thing. When I start up the game I get the ubi logo then the main video for each game I can see them. Then the screen goes black but I can hear the main menu music. Its playable (I think) just can’t see any thing. I can alt-tab out close it down.

i have
Vista Home Basic
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
Not Sure on Motherboard
2gb of memroy
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
Sound is built into the Motherboard

i have the 175.16_geforce_winvista_32bit_english_whql for video driver (may 13)
if there is any thing eles that would help just ask

I'm not a Vista user but perhaps the Codecs need to be updated. Not sure. There are other Vista users here who might have your answer.

Try putting your monitor refresh rate down to low like 60hertz, whenever i get a black screen yet game can be heard running in the background the refresh rate is to high.

i have tryed all monitor refresh rate from 60hz to 85hhx and nothing
