GWX 2.1 Problem with segnalation Lights
In this new GWX a great part of the neutral merchant shipping has segnalation lights switched off while in GWX 2.0 all of the merchant shipping of neutral nations had those switched on......
So i can't distinguish neutral vassels from enemy vassels There is a solution of this problem? |
No
Some of the Neutral Units do have their navigation lights on in GWX 2.1 (as they did in reality). Others don't (again as they did in reality). The whole idea is to try to identify the target yourself as it happen in reality. One solution I can think of is to use the external camera to identify the target or to edit the Cfg files in order not to lose renown for neutral ships. |
I agree, some ships have the lights on some not, just as it happened in real life.
The only thing I do not like of lightened ships is that the lightened flags still use the colour palettes of daylight, which means that despite the spotlights on them, they are as dark as a darkened ship, and therefore, difficult to see!. Anyhow, this is of no major importance because as far as I know, in the game, a lightened ship can only be neutral. right? |

I remember reading in Operation Drumbeat about how slow the US was in implementing blackout procedures during the early days of the war with Germany.

I must say it is indeed difficult to spot the neutrals in the convoys. Yesterday I torped two of them. When I realized that they were neutral I begged my second fish missed but in vain |
