Question for the menu.ini/map experts

Hi,

I have a question for the menu.ini experts. I play full real and I was thinking about making it more easy to plot contacts. I am a little bit tired of drawing/plotting everything by myself :D

Normally, you would just measure the distance and report it together with the bearing to someone else who then would plot the contact. My idea now is to use the torpedo line from the attack map to plot the contact faster, i.e., I measure the distance, enter it into the TDC (choose target speed 0 knots) and have a nice line on the attack map that ends at the contact. Now I can easily and quickly mark the location.

The problem is that I don't have any drawing tools on the attack map. So, is it possible to make the torpedo line also visible on the navigation map? I think that would be more easy than adding the drawing tools to the attack map.

I would be very happy for any comments,

cheers, LGN1

Has no one any idea?

Sonar contacts,... are plotted on both maps, only the torpedo and the torpedo line is plotted only on the attack map. I wonder where this is determined? Hardcoded?

I really like the idea, so please, if you have any ideas, help me.

Thanks in advance, LGN1

I'm afraid not.

Thanks a lot for the reply, OLC.

Do you or anyone else know whether it is possible to import the drawing tools to the attack map? I have imported the ruler icon instead of the zoom-in icon, but the function (zoom in) remains the same :-?

It would be so nice to have a real plotting tool so that one can measure the data, but does not have to bother with drawing the lines.

Anyway, thanks again for the input. Maybe someone else has an idea?

Cheers, LGN1
