Using the canal to access the southern end of the North Sea makes obvious sense and saves a lot of fuel. My problem is that `time compression` will not go any higher than x16 with x4 being the norm. It takes a VERY long time to reach the North Sea this way. Is there an answer to this please?:-?

Trying to change the time compression settings via SH3Cmdr might give an answer to your problem but i am not 100% sure that you can do it this way. Check it if you like.

Must be the fourth time this has come up in the last couple of weeks
