[REL] GUN MOD Limited
 

This mod will change the rate of fire of single and dual 20mm and 40mm guns. I also edited some previous work done for ROW Sounds for the Deck Guns. So credit goes to our ROW Sounds guru's.

The ROF, and MV have been changed for AA Guns only. The ROF is accurate and the sound in game is in my opinion is fairly accurate when compared to historical sounds. I know a 20mm does not sound like a 40mm, but in game this sounds fairly accurate. I look forward when someone who has the patience can set it up so each gun has its own sound file.

My friends at RFB,TM,& RSRDC feel free to use this anyway you like, just fill me in to the enhancements so I can savor the improvements prior to release:D .

This mod is JSGME Compatible.

I'll certainly give this mod a try when I'm back from my vacations; I'm especially interested in the sounds. :up: Are those sounds new ones not included as optional in ROW Sounds v9?
BTW, there are a select few of us who DO read the readme...I know I'm one of them, especially since I don't have internet access at home ;)

Historically gun crews manning the 40mm were able to go through 4-7, 5 round clips before they could not keep up with the rate of fire. So the 40mm keeps just firing. The 20mm, Ium well lets see, I think the ROF was increased ... I cant remember, I am in the middle of reformating after my PC was attacked by a hacker, so yah I will get back to you when I get my pc up and running.

well the reason i ask is i was thinking i should put it in my "game fixes" mod if it was a "fix" that will make it more realistic or acurate in the game.

if it was just a mod then i would not because i wanted the mod to only include fixes.

You can make it an optional install. Based on what I've read and saw in WWII footage I would sai it is accurate. Only thing I cant fix is to give the 40mm a pause after 20-30 rounds, which is historically accurate because the crews couldn't keep up. Not bad ROF though for just 5 round ammo clips.
