I believe there was an attempt to get Jedi listed as a religion for the census here in Australia a couple of years back, but they had no joy.

Yeah, I think over here it was given its own census code, but they threatened to fine people who put it on for falsifying census information.

That was nothing more than a scam exploiting a loop hole back in the 1980's to get out of paying Poll Tax. :p

I went to court and had my day in court. I told them, I will pay the poll tax but only 1p a week and I wanted receipts. Man you should had seen the look of the council when the judge allowed it. ;)
