TMO and missing helmsman
Not sure if it's related to TMO but since enabling the mod and starting a fresh career I've noticed that the helmsman (i.e. the sailor who steers the boat and adjusts the engine telegraphs) is missing!
I'm still running SH4 (1.4) (can't find 1.5 but not interested in pacific U-boats anyway). Everything works fine it's just my missing crewman (he was there before I tried PE2 and TMO, I've since removed PE2). He's on the roster and I didn't hear any "man overboard" alarms!!! ;) Anyone else experience this? |
He moved. The helmsman is now in the conning tower.

I'll have to check that
OK, thanks for that info. Guess I shoulda read the 'readme' more closely:oops: , I'll check that next time I crank it up.
Is that position more realistic historically? I'm so used to seeing the helmsman in the control room. cheers, Tomoose |
He's on shore leave at the Royal Hawaiian. :D

Further to my last...
now that I think about it, if the helmsman's normal duty station is the conning tower, when is he at the station in the control room? Perhaps TMO addresses this and moves the helmsman?(I haven't played with TMO much as yet).
If the helmsman does move duty stations (i.e. he works in the control room during dives), can this be modded so that he shows up there when the dive command is given and returns to the conning tower when the 'surface' command is given. If this has in fact been done with this mod (and I just haven't seen it yet) then forgive the dopey question. |
Ducimus threw him overboard.:arrgh!:
|
Ducimus put him where he belonged ... and he probably stayed there unless the conning tower was damaged.
