Speaking at the parade, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran was the most powerful nation in the world.
Hmmm, ok... if you intended to attack with stunt riders on motorcycles...

The proverbial, flowery language of the orient.

Those are those new environment friendly motorcycles. The guy in back raises up and down which powers a spring piston. Two thousand humps to the mile.

He said Iran was now so powerful that "none of the current world powers are capable of, and have the courage to, threaten the Iranian nation and its interests and security".
In other news, the Titanic was declared to be unsinkable. :rotfl:

Notice that when we have parades in the USA, we have floats, high school marching bands, the town mayor, etc. All these other guys seem to want to flaunt their missles.

I sense Ahmadinejad has........penis envy.

Actually these bikers are somewhat of a tradition in the Iranian military.
Apparently a successful (if somewhat suicidal) tactic of the IRGC in the 1980s war against Iraq was to attack Iraqui tanks with motocross bikes and RPGs.
Against T-55s this was apparently a good tactic.

I wonder what "real" weapons were shown. For example, were there any new aircraft prototypes. On youtube, I only saw the usual suspects, Phantoms, F-5s, MiG-29s and the last active Tomcats in the world....

I guess what you've to worry is the Scud missiles and the Iranian local made missiles, which can deal some punishments to anyone who goes wrong with it, especially Isreals

Remember the rockets that is launched to Isreal last year. They have little military value but have large demoalization values.

It's a good tactic with any heavy armor just not as survivable with powered turrets. You have a good supply of martyrs and it's economical you can't go wrong.

Except that supporting infantry should be able to stop such an attack without much difficulty.

If they are working as a team or if the infantry are deployed or if they aren't too busy trying to stop them getting to their Bradley's or if ............... Bottom line it's a good cheap tank killer. Hell, you can buy a bunch of motorcycles for the price of one AT missile. There never seems to be a shortage of martyrs. You can't go wrong.
