Explosions mod
 
Ok, I need some critics about a mod I'm working on, what do you guys think of the Hollywood effects I added before adding other effects like crewmen being blown out of the ship, huge amount of fire on ships, on the water maybe have crewmen being burned? Here's some pictures.

Looks great - could something like that go into/over ROW? From the screens it doesnt look like your using ROW, and I would hate to have to lose one for the other. Great work! :up:

My roommate's computer is a low-ender Nvidia GeForce 7300 in it and only 2 GB of RAM , barely manage to get only 12fps at port and 18 fps at sea with all settings low except for texure quality high.

Are you only working with the Materials.Dat and Particles.Dat or did you also change the Zones.Cfg ?

Looks very realistic! But...there has to be a catch. How much does frame rate suffer at the moment of impact, and afterwards?

Well, in my roommate's lowender the frame rates suffer greatly, like once I sunk three tankers in one session, all of them are burning so furiously that the only to get more FPS is to look away from the burning to the empty part of the sea.

CapHaplo, no I didn't use ROW, let's say I'm working on it on stock settings first then later I'm going to make a ROW version of this mod.

Suggest you tweak the mod so that not each & every explosion is so colossal, but rather so that these gigantic eruptions occur occasionally at random. That way one would get glorious surprises now and then instead of seeing them all the time.:up::arrgh!:

I think such explosions could depend on cargo. Amunitions and oil.

Some ships go with a whimper and others have taken out my sub because I was to close. Perhaps these HUGE clouds and smoke and fire could be with those ships coded to go off like A-Bombs and not the small fleet ships that go sliding beneath the surface.

Calm down guys, I manage to made it so far, I got little work time on this mod do to tech school and other RL stuff. Think you guys can wait till June? When I have lots of free time to produce, test, reproduce, test then release to the public, right now I'm putting this on hold till the last week of my 1st year in a tech school.
