Problem Loading S-boot Mod
 

Hi guys,

Recently made a fresh install of SH3 w/ GWX2.0 today and everything went well. However, after I enabled the S-boot beta, the game wouldn't even load anymore... here are the details:

Enabled mods:

GWX-Enhanced Damage Effects
GWX-Black Sea Compaign/Med Campaign files
GWX-No Medals on Crew

Playing the game with only these mods works, however after I enabled the S-boot mods in order (including the Enhanced effects part) , my PC would simply show me a black screen after the intro splash video (the one with the wolf howling), the computer would freeze and nothing happens.:dead:

Perhaps this is a corrupted download or extract? Any ideas?

Well, it turns out the intro movie was corrupted, simply clicking on it even freezes my PC. However, in my haste I also accidentally deleted the howling wolf movie as well:damn::damn::damn:. Can anyone tell me what that file was called? It is simply Splash.wmv?

I can use two wmv videos from my PC as placeholders for the time being (one named intro.wmv, just need to know the name of the other file).

Ok new problem...

I installed SH3 Commander and attempted a new Mediterrainean campaign with the S-100 type, I deleted the faulty intro video and checked the "skip intro movies" option on SH3 Cmdr. This time, when the main loading screen appears, the game would load about half way and bam, CTD. I disabled all the mods using JSGME and attempted to try GWX alone without any mods but same thing still happens, CTD every time the loading bar would reach halfway. I also checked the "rollback automatically after exiting SH3 function".

Earlier, I tried the S-boot mod in the Med without SH3 Cmdr and everything worked beautifully, I just wanted to use the beautiful med colours you get with the program. Something must be conflicting between the mod and SH3 Cmdr...

This is really frustating...:damn:

Well, after reinstalling my game for about the third time today I finally got the mod to work.:D Still no idea why it would crash with Cmdr, I'm now only using GWX with the S-boot Beta.:hmm:
