New to RFB With Two Questions

I have been a TM user since it's inception but decided to check out RFB for fun. But I have a couple questions. It is early 1944 and I seem to have no air radar in my Balao, only "A/c spotted" observations. Is there no air radar in RFB? If there is how do I enable it?
Also, my AA gunners just sit there as we are attacked, even tho I have the guns manned and have given them 'fire at will'.
Can anyone shed some light on these questions?
Thanks.

I am using 1.4 with no other mods.

Yes there is air radar. Have you checked the equipment screen to see if it's installed? Are you playing a campaign or mission? If you are in a campaign, did you check to see if the boat was equipped with air search radar before sailing?

Will take a look at that , but have to crank out a patch for the 1.5 version first that's being testesd.

The AA gunner situation is strange. Haven't run into that one before.

Note, there is a bug in the torpedo file prior to 1943 that we'll fix, so it's good you're playing 1944

Yes, air radar is installed, and worked fine with TMO. Same boat/crew, etc. Started in port with RFB installed instead of TMO. Playing the campaign--actually continuing it.

Actually, just replied to a comment on this in the RFB thread.

Some changes were made to the radar and reporting. It was only after testing and releasing that the issue you are talking about popped up, since more people were now playing under different circumstances.

This issue still existed in 1.5 I'd have to look to see how it was resolved. There will be a patch released for the 1.4 Version of RFB shortly after the 1.5 version is released.

Figured out the air radar--my mistake. I didn't recognize the contact--different than I was used to. Haven't had the chance to check the AA again yet.
