Problem. Dial bug.
 

Hi y'all. I figured out how to solve this problem in game, but I forgot how. Wondering if anyone else had the same epiphany. Seriously, it was a really simple work around.

Anyways, sometimes, for no apparent reason, the TDC auto/manual selector switches modes so that you can no longer enter data into the TDC when the dials are visible, but the bearing/AOB change as the periscope/UZO are rotated. I am using OLC GUI, but do not have an alternate language version of SH3 installed (which was thought to contribute to this bug somehow).

How do you switch it back. I know there is a way because I remember having this problem before, thought "that's wierd", intuitively did "something" that fixed the problem and kept playing as if it were no big thang. Now some mental block prevents me from "intuiting" the solution, and I have to restart the game to make it work, which on my computer takes about twenty minutes.

Alternatively, when you are in Centrale (Control), you can RIGHT click on the weapons officer and then click on the sync button on the TDC (if you are experiencing this synchronization problem, the little light will be red - click on it to turn on the green light).

Also, if you are using SH3Speech, just use the verbal command "Sync TDC" to carry out this order.

You can use SetKey to modify your commands_en.cfg file to set up a keypress to carry out this action for you as well. I can't remember the exact command within commands_en.cfg at this moment - will look it up when I get home.

Also: This "desynchronization" only seems to occur with OLC GUI - for those of you using GWX only, this isn't a problem.
