hmmmm

does anyone know a good place for IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 mods/skinns ? :hmm:

am getting a good pilot there although i hate flying with my group, so when the misson starts i break off and go hunting on myselve (from AA gun till heavy bomber)
would like to have a nice skinn for it

also another question, how do you manage (like the autopilot) to move your plane smoothly over the runnway after landing and eventualy drive to the standing place ?
after lots of practice and tearing up my joystick i managed to land without a scratch (huraa!) and also takeoff is going good :D

http://www.flying-legends.net/ for skins, you need to register (free), but that is the largest skin database I know of. 5500+ skins available for download.

As for your 2nd question, it varies on different planes. Some planes turn very easy while taxiing, some dont. Use the wheel brake when turning. The AI cheats on that, it goes on predefined "rail".

im a BF109 pilot
just destroyed a convoy of trucks and crashed next to the wreckages (misjudged my altitude )

thanks for the link

I hate strafing ground targets. :nope:

HunterICX 04-11-08 04:48 AM

:) I love strafing ground targets :yep:

pack me a IL2 with some AP rockets and Cluster bombs and I,m good to go.

but in a 109 I rather shoot down other aircraft then strafing targets on the ground.

(only have to stop bombarding friendly units, twice in 1 game I've been bombarding the wrong targets that where in the same grid as the enemy targets....)

I love bombing stuff, but I mean strafing with the MGs & cannons. :yep:

Exactly, strafing means AFAIK, shooting the ground target with your MGs/Cannons.

Bombing is.. well.. you know.. *Pfffiuuuu KABOOM!*

HunterICX 04-11-08 05:49 AM

I like using my cannons and MG fire on ground targets, especially parked aircraft....preferably with a BF110 or IL2 as they are devastating.

i strafe all ground targets after shooting down all planes (including 2 friendly's :88))
so far i have almoast 200 ground targets and 44 airplanes under my belt, they promoted me to major and i got everything up to Knights cross with oak leaves (only 23 missions compleeted) ;)

Another great place for skins and missions is www.mission4today.com there is a LOT of info over there and a lot of 109 skins!
As for ground targets - I simply hate the flak that accompanies those missions! :damn:

And that's the reason I prefer doing only one pass, preferably with a FW190, very low level. I hate friggin flak. :nope:

Kaleu. Jochen Mohr 04-11-08 01:21 PM

shoot the buggers :arrgh!:
have about 100 flaks on my name and 94 other stuff including 1 boat

HunterICX 04-11-08 03:42 PM
