Bearing Degrees on scope mod?

Howdy, all.

Is there a mod for reading target bearing degrees (on the scope)?

I havn't played subsims since dabling briefly in SH2, years ago, and used the TDC dials.

But vaguely recall there was also a backup way using a sliderule for figuring out shot angles with bearings, ranges, and speeds with a wristwatch. And I do have an old Japanese trig sliderule.

Have just bought SOF and can't read the bearings, otherwise I really like the sim!

Salute!

Crow!

P.S. Mainly been playing WWI & II flightsims, BoB (WWII) RB3 (WWI), CFS3 & FlightSimulator.

Nope, no relative bearing indicator for the scope... that's one of the chief complaints about the game. Doesn't seem to be an easy way to mod one in either, else it would have been done long ago.

One time with $20 in the pocket, I went into Walmart and over to sporting goods to find a bargain basement spotting scope.

Yep, there was a ringdisk between tube and mount all graduated 0 to 360, kinda cool, wish h2f had been there to see...

I find myself confortable with the indicator in the lower right is not very realistic but it works, it's very easy to change course or to understand vhere is pointed the periscope when i'm using the periscope an eye is allways looking at that gauge. :yep: :yep:
