Maybe try it in Windowed mode. You'll have to restart the game after you make the change in the graphics menu.

Alt-Tab works for me, I use it constantly. Don't know why it doesn't work for you. Could you have a keybinding that traps the key?

[edit] Oh feck, you mean keep it running... as in, keep it running... lol, nevermind... ^^

How about changing the TimeStop=0 to 1 in the [TIMECOMPRESSION] section? It affects TimeScale 0, but I don't know if it also affects 'Pause' which is not the same thing in SH4... Worth a shot ;)

ALthough you may end up having no way to pause the game ever :)

Alt \ Tab used to work in SH-3 for me. Now it doesn't and I have to use the Window key.

Neither way has ever worked for me in SH4.

I wonder why it doesn't work in SH4 for me with Pro Edition.

I mean, I'd like to let my sub to plow thru a TF while I'm over here at SubSim looking around too. :p
