Another quality book to read.
If you are after a highly entertaining book then I would recommend Agent Zigzag by Ben Macintyre. It is the true story of Eddie Chapman, a thief, rogue, philanderer and double-agent spy for Germany and Britain. His life was such that if a film was made of it, it would probably be dismissed as being too far fetched.
It is a very well written book that captures the imagination from the start. |

There are rumours. BTW, that Tom Hanks is working on a movie on .M Zigzag, to be released in a couple of years. |
I'm reading Red Storm Rising by ol' Tom Clancey, I can't put it down! Not a new book by a long shot, but a damn good read. Never a dull moment in it!

I'm told that made it into the recommended reading list at the US Naval War College, which speaks volumes. The only trouble with Clancy is that his books are so complex, with so many subplots, that they do not translate well to movies. Some of those have been very, very lame.

Red Storm Rising was written by a Brit general (can't remember his name) originally published in 1980 or 81 under the title The Third World War.
He must have made a deal with Clancy. |
