Did I just turn on Bloom?

I was hunting a small merchant yesterday, and was getting data via the scope. When suddenly, everything went smooth and bright, blinding me, forcing me to just set the crew to use the deckgun, while I figured out what I did.

This happens to me alot, and it does get annoying, since my FPS takes a considerable hit, and with my rig, I need every frame I can get. I am generally forced to save my career, close out of SH3, and reload. A process taking 10+ minutes :damn:

Does anyone know of a key-combo that does this, so I can avoid it? Or do I just hope bloom doesnt turn on when I'm about to sink juicy freighter?

If you press Shift/PageUp you will increase Bloom, Shift/PageDown to decrease it.
Pressing Ctrl/PageUp, Ctrl/PageDown raises and lowers your scope completely.
Maybe you happen to do the Shift variant?

This is probably it, as I rarely move the scope without holding shift down. I guess I'll avoid that from now on. Thanks

Here's a pic of Oblivion with bloom turned on. You see everything even slightly whitish emit a soft light around them:

I love the bloom effects, i have it all the way up on all the games I play.

It's almost as good as watching a sunset in real life.
