Heavy Merchants \ Tankers :D

Bigger the better.

It would be cool to have the HMS Glorious.

Alex 03-30-08 04:40 PM

Miner is right ! The Glorious would be a great addition. :D

As we already have the Bourrasque class, I would suggest to go for l'Adroit or le Hardi destroyer classes... But any battleship of these classes will be good as well (as I'm french ;)).

Months ago, UB234 told everybody that he's working on the Richelieu class... Since then, no news from him. :(

I voted for all three sizes of Merchants/Tankers. They are the ones we are tasked to sink. I would also include very small ships of those categories. Everybody had little coastal ships that nobody has made models of yet, some of them as small as 300 tons.

I like to see British Carriers, small coastal steamers and sailing ships.

I'd like to see more coastal vessels and small craft, like fishing boats, tugboats, light tankers and cargoes running goods from port to port, ferries, etc.

Sure, the warships and big merchies have sex appeal but the small ships and boats would add atmosphere to the game. We're already pretty flush with large ships and warships as it is, with more to come, especially if IABL ever releases his Merchant Fleet mod.

On the other hand, a few more aircraft carriers wouldn't hurt. They seem to be the least common of the warships.

All we need now is someone to rework the Campaign and Missions files to include all these marvelous new additions to SH3/GWX and the other great supermods.

British Carriers and great civil ships are winning for now... :hmm: :hmm:

Right...Since now i play SH3 as Schnellboot coomander, i really want a lot of 500-1000 ton ships to send to the bottom with a single torpedo.
If someone didnt realized yet, BB CV and big liner encounters are VERY RARE:roll: ...Quite useless having a lot of them. Very beautiful ofcourse, every time that someone release a new bigship model i'm always among the firsts that downloads it!;)

British carriers got my vote. I mean the big main fleet carriers even the Ark even though she was sunk shortly into the war.
Also more merchants small and mid sized, and last but not least some more shipping for the Med country's.

Jimbuna 04-01-08 03:37 PM

How about a monitor or two (HMS Roberts for example) :hmm:

Buhring 04-03-08 05:57 PM

I'd love to see some more Italian naval units, in particular the Diaz/Giussano light cruisers, the Orsa and Gabbiano escort vessels, and the 23.000 tons battleships (Cavour and Duilio classes).
Some Frenchies too -- it would be great to sink a couple of 'em . Candidates: the light cruisers of the Galissonière type, the heavy cruiser Algerie, the Jeanne D'Arc.

(and obviously, but this is OT, a playable 600 class Italian sub...)

I like to sink huge tankers.

Thank God there was no super tanker at this time... Otherwise all seas worldwide would still be polluted nowadays. :o
Let's say good bye to billions of creatures if this ship gets sunk. :o
