[REQ] Can someone make a Gato skin like this?

I was just wondering , would it be possible for someone to make a skin like the one in the link for the Gato? I was browsing around and come across this model. The model looks really cool and I thought a skin based on it would be cool, too.

I know it's not the Puffer, but this is close: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ght=Torsk+skin

I just love a challenge:arrgh!: I'd say that the bow artwork and the conning tower emblem would be fairly easy to reproduce. I know I couldn't make it look photorealistic, but a heavy weathered skin with the artwork would be feasible.

I think the problem is going to be the striped section on the tail. Would have to play around with it some to see if that part would be doable.

I was able to get some more shots for Nesgeis for the photo realistic look. We have to wait and see how he is doing.

The tail is possible too, here's what it might look like:

And underwater with the clean line break:

The nasty looking black splodge with the sharp edge is from the occlusion layer :nope: .

The Gato model in the game has sliding outer doors, whereas the model has scalloped tubes.

Nice work D.T.

Danke, Herr Lehmann:D

Got a little sidetracked, but finally got this done. Many thanks to nisgeis for sharing his striping:up: and, of course to Foo for his fine skins used as the base:rock: . I took the liberty of making a combo skin (black early war, weathered late war).
