Nipple ring trouble at airport
This womans nipple rings set off the detectors, trouble is, while she was able to get one out the other one stuck.
"As Ms Hamlin struggled to remove the piercing behind the curtain, she could hear a growing number of predominantly male TSA officers snickering in the background," the attorney said. Allred said TSA policy called for a pat-down under such circumstances but did not require the piercings to be removed." 'pat-down':o. Gee, can I apply for that job - might get lucky with a stuck clit ring:D http://www.news24.com/News24/World/N...295659,00.html |

Typically you can only use people of the same gender as the person when searching them (exception is police in the process of arresting a suspect, but that is only a quick weapon search, otherwise its done only with an officer that is the same sex to avoid sexual harassment/molestation lawsuits). |
Thank God the TSA were there to protect us from this "nipple" (I don't like using terrorist words outside of inverted commas in case THEY think I'm one of THEM)

That nipple could have been leathal!

Heh guess we can add airports to football as places where they are not welcome :p

Better nip this one in the bud.

I knew a guy with dozens of piercings, including a 0 gauge PA piercing (yeah, he really did have a ring that big in his wang).
Would have loved to see them try to get all THAT out of him before passing him through the line. |

I've had my right nipple pierced since I was 21 years old and have never encountered this sort of problem. I suspect this could be due to the fact I'm male.
Clearly the officials in this case are lacking in professionalism and tact, demonstrated by their 'snickering' causing this woman obvious and unnecessary distress. One may ask if the request to remove the rings prior to boarding the flight when no removal is required by law was motivated by more base attitudes, similar to some joking comments here. Whilst this is ok in GT, airport security generally does without such ribaldry. And rightly so. Just you try and get one of the officers to have a laugh and see how fast the gloves and KY appear. |
