Question about 1.4 and TMO
 

I have been playing 1.3 and TM1.6 for quite a while. Everything works perfectly and looks great. The game is challenging but fun. So--is there any compelling reason I should install patch 1.4 and TMO? Thanks a lot.

Well, Patch 1.4 addresses a few bugs, but adding TMO onto it only makes the sim even better. TMO has a lot of little things that have been tweaked since TM 1.7.6 and I think you'll enjoy the changes.

It's easy!!

Just use Generic Mod Enabler

Install 1.4 Patch
Install TMO for 1.4
Install SP1 Bravo
Install SP 2

and then enjoy!!

The main reason's?

1. The 1.4 patch fixes a number of issues with SH4. 1.4 was a very good patch.

2. You will not get updates for early versions of TMO. If Duci adds something, it wont be for 1.3 patch, effectively 'freezing' you where you are now.

3. If you for some reason have no intention on getting the u-boat missions, then you can stay iced in with the latest version of TMO for 1.4 and thats bound to be better than being stuck on 1.3

FYI, TMO for 1.4 is the end of the road. There are no Service Packs. The Service Packs are for TMO 1.5 only. Ducimus will eventually roll all the SP's into a "final" TMO for 1.5, I use the term "final" loosely here as I do not speak for the man.

Anyway, I just do not want folks to load TMO 1.4 and add SP's that could foul things up.
