dead in the water???
 
lo all

was merrily patroling my sector last night when i came across a large tanker dead in the water and partially sinking.

has anyone else seen this....is it a part of gwx

it was a great touch of realism if it was....thinking that it was maybe part of a convoy that had been torped by another u-boat but not finished off..maybe because the attacker was destroyed/chased way

i think im spending too long out there!!!!

needless to say i gave it the coup degrace and was rewarded with the sinking!!!

all credit should go to the boat that originally hit her but im not turning down 10.000 easy tonnes:rotfl: :rotfl:

Once I saw 2 bombers collide and be destroyed. Another time, I was observing a bomber that I didn't attack which was circling around my sub. Suddenly, it crashed into water without any apparent reason.

Or once in a storm with thick fog I was pursued by a burning speedboat :D. I didn't attack it of course.

One sees a lot of interesting things in GWX, especially on convoys that had been attacked by AI U-boats. :D

My favourites are the convoys that have been taken apart by Atlantic storms.
There's nothing quite like finding a trail of slow, damaged ships with no escorts, and most of them only need one torpedo to send them to the bottom.

Yep. Found a damaged merchant in the middle of a convoy-appeared (I use one of the torp damage enhancing mods) that it had suffered at least one torp hit, and was smoking, but kept station without sinking. Dunno how, if I am to understand that no AI units can launch torps, it suffered that damage.

The torp damage tga is the same one used for deck gun so more than likely a shell
