5in\51 caliber gun
 

I was wondering if anyone was going to try to mod Admiral Charles A. Lockwood's favorite toy for the Gar class. In 1942 he had the guns mounted on the Gar class. This was looked at in the beginning of Gar's design. She had a reinforced structure for this size of ordanence mounted on the superstructure from the start. In 1942, the guns were mounted replacing the 4in\50 and 3in\50s that were origenlly mounted on the ship. I think it would be fun to have this gun in the game.

50 lb shell ,960 M/S at the barrel, max range 9 miles, it would be interesting.
